The new management team at Niketana has painstakingly refurbished the property with a practical blend of traditional and modern amenities.

The blend of vintage décor, curios, antiques and furniture take you back in time, showcasing the tradition and richness of Old Madras Bungalows. Lush garden spaces, cozy spill out areas, a lovely neighborhood, popular with fitness enthusiasts, a 24-hour Front Desk, a mini-gymnasium, mini-conference room, homely dining area, car parking facilities for 6-7 vehicles, and a generator power back-up make this property ideal for a traveller looking to break away from the hustle and bustle of the city – right in the heart of the city.

The rooms are air-conditioned, equipped with a king size cot, safe deposit locker, luggage rack and cupboards, mini fridge, television, geyser, study table, cable network, high speed wi-fi, kettle, clean linen and toiletries. Guest laundry services are available at the property.
Niketana offers its guests freshly prepared food, customized to the taste of Guests. Breakfast is complimentary with the standard room package (CP) unless specifically requested for a room without breakfast (EP). Lunch and Dinner, if required, can be ordered in advance with the in-house chef between 8.00am to 8.00pm, at extra charge.

Things to do

Niketana’s strategic location gives guests a variety of options to choose from:
  • Enjoy a sunrise and a day out at the Marina beach or Elliots beach.
  • Shop for our famous saris and souvenirs at T.Nagar, a shopping haven for every visitor.
  • Spend some time exploring Express Avenue Mall and Phoenix Market City. The latter is considered the fourth largest mall in India.
  • Easy access to the German and American Consulates.
  • After a long day, guests can unwind over some good eats, lounge bars, and gourmet ice-creams. A few options are:

    • If you don’t want to step out, then simply relax on our aesthetically landscaped property by the Koi pond or take a walk in the Boat Club area amidst lush greenery.

The closest medical facilities are available at Apollo hospitals on Greams Road, Mount Road, and OMR Proton Center, and Aravind Eye Hospital.

CAB SERVICES

  • Niketana also offers pick-up and drop cab services from the railway station or airport at an additional cost.
  • Guests can also avail cab services from the premises, customized to the guests’ requirements, at a charge.
